Moore Point creative vision sector engagement

Client: Leamac Property Group

Location: Liverpool, NSW

Year: 2023

Bringing creative ambitions and opportunities into the light .

Brief

Moore Point is a regionally significant privately led urban renewal project on the banks of the Georges River in Sydney’s South West. With a vision for vibrant, accessible community life, landholder Leamac Property Group approached Left Bank Co. with the aim of crafting a vision for how culture and creativity could weave into the masterplan and add to the lives of some 30,000 residents planned for the precinct.

Approach

Left Bank Co. designed a workshop to bring together a range of relevant government, cultural, and advisory organisations and local institutions which with Leamac has relationships, just minutes away from the planned precinct at the Casula Powerhosue Arts Centre.

The workshop sought to understand the needs and nuances of creativity and culture  in Liverpool alongside the opportunities for collaboration with other innovation precinct players – through whom culture is thriving despite a lack of creative infrastructure.

Impact

With Leamac’s ‘coalition of the willing’ in the room, we conducted a detailed SWOT analysis which became the meat on the bones of themes that will carry a creative vision for Liverpool into 2030 and beyond.

The participants’ ambitious and passionate responses are reflected in a vision statement that recognises the strengths of Western Sydney’s diverse perspectives and creative partnerships, both international and local.  This vision will assist Leamac in developing a creative and cultural offering that strengthens and activates local creative industries for generations to come.
